Developing a transparent systems development process
The systems development department of this now leading Dutch insurance company in health-care was recently formed as the result of the merger of several mid-sized insurance companies.

After the creation of one systems development department, its manager assigned DNV-CIBIT IT Consultants to support him in developing one transparent systems development process, based on modern insights in systems development and on current industry standards. This assignment comprised of an analysis of the current situation, the selection of new methodologies and techniques, the development of a corporate handbook of systems development with participation of the various merging groups and the implementation of the newly chosen methodologies and techniques in the various development teams by coaching.
All advisory, formal education and coaching activities that were part of this project were done by DNV-CIBIT IT Consultants. By involving all stakeholders in the process and taking great care in the communication around the process, adoption of the new ways of working is now well under way.
