Developing the quality of its IT services to the business
The IT Services Department of this bank, member of the Rabogroup, adopted the ITS CMM model in 2004 for developing the quality of its IT services to the business. The IT Services Capability Maturity Model, originally developed by DNV-CIBIT, enjoys great interest from corporations, government agencies and educational establishments internationally.

Professional IT service needed
The Bank's ITS Department started off with an assessment against the ITS CMM in 2004 and decided to implement all measures needed to reach the next CMM level by the end of 2005, despite a reorganisation that took place meanwhile. DNV-CIBIT IT Consultants did the original assessment using its proprietary Assess2Improve (A2I) methodology. With A2I, the Bank had a clear understanding of what was necessary to reach the next CMM level.

DNV-CIBIT IT Consultants is now coaching the department to implement all measures needed in very practical sessions with employees of the company. When all goes as planned, by the end of 2005, a new assessment will be done by DNV-CIBIT against the next level of ITS CMM, using the A2I methodology. This balanced and structured approach to service quality improvement, gives the bank the professional IT service needed, in line with international benchmark standards.
