The course delivered practical guidelines to use the EFQM Framework for knowledge management. Instructions have been given to address relevant issues and to assess the current performances and to identify improvements. Several group exercises conducted how to:

  • Implement the EFQM Framework for knowledge management?
  • Connect the Framework to the EFQM Excellence Model?
  • Collect data to assess the maturity of knowledge management in your organisation?

This How-To Workshop is delivered in collaboration with DNV Academy - CIBIT and PACE Performance who have also developed the EFQM framework for knowledge management, with the support of EFQM. The two trainers of this workshop are:

Managing Consultant Rob van der Spek

Rob van der Spek

Rob is Managing Consultant KM and worked for companies and organizations like Siemens AG, ISVOR-FIAT, Achmea, Sara Lee / DE, DSM, Telecom Italia, Unilever, The Dutch Ministry of Internal Affairs, FORTIS, NYNEX (USA) and the Royal Dutch Navy. He has been an invited speaker at several in-company seminars on Knowledge Management for ING, CMG, ABN-AMRO, FIAT, Telecom Italia, Unilever and Shell and was invited to present workshops at Stanford University and Cambridge University.

Rob is program leader of the Knowledge Management Masterclasses of DNV Academy - CIBIT. He has published on knowledge in (inter)national media. Further he co-authored 'KM, dealing intelligently with knowledge'. He is member of the editorial board of the journal of KM (MCB University Press).

Geoff Carter

Geoff has been involved in the knowledge management field for many years, starting off with the use of Expert Systems. He has been the project manager for several of EFQM's KM benchmarking exercises and is also heavily involved in the use of the EFQM Excellence Model to support organisations improve their performance.

Target Audience

Use this workshop as an additional framework to the EFQM Excellence Model. It is aimed at managers that are involved in business excellence and/or knowledge management projects, organisational development and learning initiatives.

Costs

The costs for participating in this Workshop are € 1.625,- ( € 1.300,- for EFQM members).

The workshop lasts 2 days. The workshop will be held at the Brussels Representative Office of EFQM at Avenue des Pleiages, 15, B-1200 Brussels in Belgium. The Workshop will take place on the following date:
