(ISC)˛ ™ supplies the internationally recognised CISSP®-certification and takes care of the official CBK Review Seminar.
Having taken this intensive and practice-based Master Class you will have obtained fundamental knowledge on the essential themes in this field. Moreover, you will not only have the skills to independently develop information security management, you will also be able to actually present it and to keep it up-to-date. Accordingly, you will recognize the importance of procedural as well as technical security measures, and you will be a high quality discussion partner for internal IT management as well as external parties offering security solutions. Participants who took the official CBK Review Seminar at DNV Academy - CIBIT are quite successfull! On an average more than 80% pass the CISSP exam, while just 60% pass the exam without having taken the official training.

 The different parts of the Master Class Information Security Management The Master Class consists of 2 different parts, the first one of which is entirely taken care of by DNV Academy - CIBIT in co-operation with the teaching staff of (ISC)˛. This so-called CBK Review Seminar deals with general basic knowledge, which at least is required to pass the internationally recognized CISSP examination. CISSP stands for Certified Information Systems Security Professional and internationally is claimed to be one of the most important certifications in this field. The official CBK Review Seminar is globally recognised as the ideal preparation tool for the prestigious and highly sought after CISSP certification - the first information security credential in the world accredited by ANSI (American National Standards Institute) to ISO Standard 17024:2003.
The seminar will comprehensively detail the 10 Domains of the CBK, providing the perfect opportunity to engage in lively group discussion, panel debate on current initiatives and Q&A sessions. Also in the Netherlands CISSP is met with ample recognition and appreciation. This part of the course will be held entirely in English and will be rounded off with a CISSP examination.
The second part of the course, 'Security Management in a European Context', is presented by DNV Academy - CIBIT together with the teaching staff our partners. It deals more specifically with the 'local colour' of Europe in general and the Netherlands in particular. It offers the translation from mere theory to practical use, taking into account the specific local management, legal and cultural aspects that can turn your security management into a real success. This part of the course will be rounded off with an individual assignment. This European part will be taught in Dutch.Preliminary trainingStarting security professionals can work themselves quickly and effective into their field with the special series security courses of DNV Academy - CIBIT and More-Secure. More-Secure is a fast growing quality driven organization with a lot of knowledge and experience.
The participants of this Master Class are (senior) IT network/system managers, architects, managers, jurists, and consultants. Their level of working and thinking should at least meet the bachelor standards. They are also expected to have about three years of work experience in an IT environment.
The Common Body of Knowledge covers the following 10 domains: Information Security and Risk Management, Access Control, Law, Regulations, Compliance and Investigations, Physical (Environmental) Security, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning, Security Architecture and Design, Cryptography, Telecommunications and Network Security, Application Security and Operations Security. |

 In this Master Class you will learn:- about practical approaches, thus enabling you to create an awareness of the importance of information security;
- about basics, offering not only technical solutions, but dealing especially with aspects related to management and skills.
- to apply information security within the organization;
- to fathom the legal aspects related to information security;
- to develop information security techniques;
- to design an information security architecture.

 The Master Class will be presented in two successive parts, taking five days respectively (Tuesday until Saturday). Four weeks after the course the CISSP examination will be hold. The European part consists of two sessions of two days each (Friday and Saturday) having one week off in-between. Subsequently you will have two months in which to work on the individual assignment.
The language in the CBK Reveiw Seminar and the CISSP exam is English, the European part will be taught in Dutch (open enrollment). Clients who wish to run this Master Class in an in-company version may choose between Dutch and English as a taught language. In all, this Master Class takes 10 days, in part 1 from 9.00 AM until 7.00 PM, the exam lasts from 10AM - 4 PM, and in part 2 from 9.00 AM until 5.00 PM including short breaks, coffee, tea, and a light meal. FeesDe Master Class will be held at the education center of DNV Academy - CIBIT in Bilthoven. The Master Class fees amount to € 6,450 VAT not being applicable. This sum includes the CISSP examination and extensive documentation on the course, which can be used in support of the lessons and to gain more in-depth knowledge during home study. Expenses for optional literature add up to approximately € 150, depending on you personal choice. They will be invoiced separately.
