Senior Consultant Jeroen Alberts introduces himself

Until recently Jeroen Alberts worked as Knowledge Management Programme Manager at Corus. The objective of the organization-wide programme was to improve the transfer of knowledge aimed at cost reduction, quality improvements and continuity assurance. Within this programme Jeroen has had various roles. Such as project management, coaching, improving learning processes at R&D among other departments, structuring knowledge systems and setting up international knowledge communities. In doing so he built up experience in effectively dealing with various management styles and differences in language and cultures within an international organization.

For Jeroen knowledge management is mainly to do with working in a smarter manner: to ensure that everybody makes better use of the available knowledge, experience and expertise. Knowledge management is about people and organizations: how you can stimulate and support colleagues and staff to make better use of available knowledge as well as help others with their own experience, in order to realize a better result.
